Qualifications and experience 
You will have a comprehensive understanding of pressure vessel design codes such as ASME VIII Div 1 &amp; 2, PD5500 and BSEN13445. Knowledge of design codes and standards applicable to the nuclear industry would be a distinct advantage, in particular ASME III and RCC-M. Ideally you will have gained experience in the following: welding &amp; fabrication techniques, non-destructive testing &amp; inspection techniques, structural integrity &amp; failure mechanisms, seismic assessments, and other specialist pressure vessel knowledge. 
You will be proficient in the use of MS Office and preferably have experience in using ANSYS, MathCAD, Finglow and solid-modelling software. 
You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. Membership of an engineering professional institute would be preferable but is not essential. 
You will be a strong communicator and will possess the ability to work as part of a team or as an individual. You will have the ability and willingness to work to process and procedure. 

You will negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels and be able to deal effectively with ambiguity and multiple problems whilst working to tight timescales.

Connect 4 are looking to appoint an Installation Supervisor.

***The Installation Supervisor must have paint process line experience.***

The Installation Supervisors prime responsibility is to supervise all or part of construction site by liaising with the relevant contracts manager and reporting to the installations manager.

The duties and responsibilities of the Installation Supervisor are:

1.       To manage all or part of a sites installation activities directly or through other site supervisors.

2.       Selection (recruitment or promotion) of suitable installation employees, in conjunction with the installations manager, to ensure sufficient resources to meet the companys contractual obligations.

3.       Briefing sub-contractors on all matters relating to any construction site including access, construction issues, safety, etc.

4.       Ensuring of a regime of discipline, good time-keeping, and harmony are maintained on construction sites.

5.       Preparation of risk assessments and method statements for installation activity on the construction site.

6.       Being a proactive contracts team member.

7.       Hold regular planning and progress meetings with sub-contractors.

8.       Sourcing quotations for sub-contract works and equipment hire and ensuring that they are technically, commercially and contractually sound.

9.       Liaising, advising and guiding the sub-contractors to ensure that their works meet the specification, relevant standards, budgets and is what is required for the contract.

10.   Attendance at regular contracts meetings when necessary.

11.   Adherence to contract schedules to ensure that the contract is finished on time.

12.   Keeping proper and comprehensive records.

13.   Adherence to company policy and procedures including ISO 9000.

***The salary for the Installation Supervisor will be &#163;25K to &#163;35K + great benefits including Contributory Pension Scheme, Healthcare, mileage and daily allowances depending on the location of the person and our sites***

The Installation Supervisor will do a 37 hour week + agreed overtime.

***The work will be at Crewe and/or Derby***

Connect 4 are looking to appoint an Project Engineer.

***The Project Engineer must have paint process line experience.***

The Project Engineers prime responsibility is to take control of contract(s) or parts of contract(s) from the point of acceptance of an order to the successful buy off by and handover to the client.

The duties and responsibilities of the Projects Engineer are the:

1.       Full technical &amp; commercial responsibility &amp; authority for contracts.

2.       Establishing &amp; controlling the contract team or working as part of a large contract team.  The team members will be agreed with the engineering manager firstly.

3.       Cost recording, forecasting, control &amp; reporting and cash-flow forecasting.

4.       The issuing of cost budgets to team members as appropriate to allow them to control their parts of the contract.

5.       Reviewing all contract purchase orders prior to placement to placement to ensure that they are technically, commercially and contractually sound and that they represent value for money.

6.       Ensuring good discipline, timekeeping, co-operation and harmony are maintained within the team(s).

7.       Liasing, advising and guiding the designers to ensure that what is designed meets the specification, relevant standards, budgets and is what is required by the contract.

8.       Preparation, issuing and updating contract schedules to ensure that the contract is finished on time and within budget.

9.       Main point of contact between company and the client for all matters including design, schedule and costs.

10.   Calling &amp; chairing of regular contract meetings with the client, internal departments and sub-contractors as necessary for the successful completion of the contract. 

11.   Adherence to company policy and procedures including ISO 9000.

***The salary for the Project Engineer will be &#163;25K to &#163;40K + great benefits including Contributory Pension Scheme, Healthcare, mileage and daily allowances depending on the location of the person and our sites***
